The
International Federation of Sports Chiropractic/ Fédération
Internationale de Chiropratique du Sport (FICS) was founded in
1987, by Dr. Stephen Press of the United States, who became
the first president of FICS.
In
1998, the General Assembly of FICS voted to transfer its
headquaters to Lausanne, Switzerland and thereupon adopted new
statutes governed by the Swiss civil code.
